Stone Temple Pilots Release Tribute To 2013-2015 Frontman Chester Bennington

Stone Temple Pilots have paid tribute to their former frontman Chester Bennington, sharing "It is a sad day today to know that so many of us will no longer share in your laughter, friendship and love" via their website and Facebook page.

Best known as the frontman for Linkin Park, Bennington died of an apparent suicide by hanging on Thursday morning. Tributes to the singer have continued to flow from musicians and fans alike.

Bennington fronted Stone Temple Pilots from 2013-2015, their statement reads:

"Chester, It is a sad day today to know that so many of us will no longer share in your laughter, friendship and love. You showed us time and time again what it is to be an incredible human being. A beacon of light and hope is what you will always be to us. We love you Chester. We will miss you."

Linkin Park are yet to release an official statement but have today announced the cancellation of their One More Light North American tour via a shared Live Nation post to their Facebook page.
