FOREVR Announce Double Debut Albums & Unveil New Single Video

Eclectic, electrifying Brisbane four-piece FOREVR have announced the release details for their debut full-length albums — and, yes, that's a deliberate plural.

Landing on Friday 11 August, Classics and Death Is A Miracle are as disparate as they are cohesive; distinct yet linked explorations of the breadth of FOREVR's sonic palette, from their electro-flecked shoegaze roots (the former) to their more techno-and-R&B-influenced electronic/dance tunes (the latter).

Both albums feature nine tracks, set to build on the buzz laid down by the band's first single, Petrichor (2016) — which features on Death Is A Miracle — and continue the development of an increasingly stellar reputation for crafting intriguing and enveloping soundscapes that have already led them to support slots for the likes of PVT and Explosions In The Sky.

The band have complemented the announcement of the albums (which follow earlier EP Demonstration (2014) and the Shoegazer 7" (2015)) with the unsettling, home-style video for their deeply ominous, utterly entrancing new single Columbus, taken from the Classics track list.

The song has narrative roots in the (true) story of a 2001 tornado that struck Hoisington, Kansas, during a high-school prom, with those in attendance largely unaware the storm had even hit until they emerged to find a third of their town decimated.

It's a dark focal point typical of FOREVR's off-centre, uncensored ethos, and one that ties directly into the band's determination to, in their words, "do cool shit that we like that we haven't heard before".
