The 2017 Splendour In The Grass line-up just got even better, with the festival confirming the return its Comedy Club, The Forum and a new Science Tent.

As this month’s Bryon Bay event featuring The XX, Queens Of The Stone Age, Royal Blood, Haim, Sigur Rós and more fast approaches, a handful of local legends complete the bill across the aforementioned aspects.

The Forum will open from 10am-4pm daily with a series of “brain-broadening” talks that includes a cyber security discussion led by local legend Karl Kruszelnicki, a songwriting panel featuring Julia Jacklin, Airling, Luca Brasi’s Tyler Richardson and more, and another Splendour Edition of Women Of Letters (Julien Baker, Angie Hart, Joanna Syme and others).

Other highlights alongside conversations about the future, technology, race, politics and ethics include an inside look at The Go-Betweens’ Right Here, with founder Robert Forster, and a segment where Tom Gleeson puts the hard questions to the likes of Greens Leader Senator Richard Di Natale.

Gleeson will also grace the Comedy Club across the weekend, alongside Matt Okine, Michael Hing, Becky Lucas, Umbilical Brothers, Dave Callan, Freudian Nip, Mel Buttle, Aaron Chen and more.

Splendour also introduces the Science Tent in 2017 that will see the festival team up with Future Crunch, Inspiring Australia and more to deliver presentations, musical performances and interactive experiences that breakdown solar energy, the origins of musical instruments, biology, the environment, zombies and more.
