Featuring a line-up of international legends

Australian DJ, producer, Future Music Festival founder and all-round electronic-music industry veteran Mark James will bring legendary club brand Gatecrasher back to Australian shores this year through his new promotions company, Universal Touring Events.

The 'Gatecrasher: Return Of The Lion' national tour will stop off in Brisbane, Sydney, Perth and Melbourne in August, bringing with it a line-up of internationally revered DJs including Gatecrasher music director Scott Bond, Mauro Picotto, Indecent Noise and Aussie act Factor B, among other yet-to-be-revealed drawcards.

Gatecrasher has blossomed into one of the world's most recognisable club brands since its inception in 1993, in Sheffield, England. It has since lent its name to clubs and events around the world as well as more than 20 albums.

Looking to retake its position atop the global scene following a tough decade for the brand, Gatecrasher will benefit from James' experience in touring electronic-music events as they seek to tap into the enthusiasm and interest of the new breed of dance-music fans.

"Gatecrasher has been responsible for some of the most awe-inspiring, never-to-be-forgotten events in Australia," James said in a statement. "I’m excited to be reconnecting with the original fans of Gatecrasher but most importantly, introducing one of the most iconic brands of our time to the new generation."

The Return Of The Lion tour kicks off on Friday 25 August; see theGuide for a full list of dates, venues and details.
