Large bags will strictly not be allowed to Ed Sheeran gigs
Following the horrific attack in Manchester at Ariana Grande's arena show yesterday (Monday night in local UK time), security measures are expected to tighten at major sporting and cultural events here in Australia, just days ahead of Vivid Festival kicking off in Sydney.
As News Limited reports, Foreign Affairs Minister Julie Bishop has stated, "We will keep all major events under review. We are also reviewing places of mass gathering, crowded places, to ensure to keep the places as safe as possible for Australians and tourists."
Sydney stadiums are also considering only allowing see-through plastic bags at events, as we gear up for a Liverpool FC vs Sydney FC football game tomorrow night at ANZ Stadium.
A spokesperson also stated there will be a "high presence of police and security" at ANZ Stadium events from now on. "ANZ Stadium management works closely with the NSW Police Force to identify any risks relating to the staging of major events. The Stadium is constantly reviewing its security procedures and is having ongoing dialogue with police."

Frontier Touring also told News Limited that at Ed Sheeran's upcoming arena tour, "back packs and large bags will strictly not be allowed".
Australia's terror threat level continues to be at 'probable', while the UK have upgraded theirs from 'severe' to 'critical', with prime minister Theresa May stating further attacks may be imminent.
