Get to know one of the US's hottest bands at a pair of headline shows
Ascendant Long Island duo The Lemon Twigs are riding their current wave of momentum all the way Down Under for this year's Splendour In The Grass festival, and the band have just announced a pair of headline dates to complement that journey this July.
Proudly presented by The Music, the shows will take place at Sydney's iconic Oxford Art Factory and Melbourne's similarly revered Curtin hotel, introducing both cities to the teenage prodigies that are brothers Brian and Michael D'Addario, and their brand of pop-steeped rock tunes that have seen them gather swift accolades around the world in the wake of their lauded debut album, Do Hollywood.
Despite their relative youth, the D'Addario brothers are no strangers to big audiences, having already knocked over sets at major events such as Coachella and Glastonbury.
They were also one of the buzziest bands coming out of this year's SXSW proceedings in Austin, where they took out the Grulke Prize for Developing US Act, reaffirming the notion that, as good as they already are, their best days are yet to come. You won't want to miss the chance to catch them on the way up, though.
