Mastodon and Jamiroquai will still be making a mark, though

More Ed Sheeran More Ed Sheeran

Though we've got albums from heavy metal mavens Mastodon and jazz-funk veterans Jamiroquai debuting this week, it seems singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran will continue to sit pretty at the top of the ARIA Charts this week with newest album, ÷ (Divide), for the fifth week running.

Sheeran has already gone 4x Platinum with the album in the UK and 2x in Australia, with a record 18 songs in the ARIA Singles Chart at one point (16 from ÷ itself). Charting significantly on the ARIA Charts is not new for Sheeran, having scored #2 overall on the annual ARIA Charts in 2015 with X, #1 in 2014 also with X and #5 in 2012 with +.

Nevertheless, Mastodon's seventh album Emperor Of The Sun is primed to debut in the top five, potentially seeing them pick up their second top ten debut on the Albums Chart, alongside Jamiroquai's Automaton this week, their first charting album since 2010.

Other debuts this week include Body Count's Bloodlust, who announced they'd be returning to Australia for the first time in 22 years last week, and Sydney soul-rock duo Polish Club with their debut album, Alright Already.
