'Sylvia' is another solid slice of alt-pop goodness from the ascendant Melbourne band

More IV League More IV League

Melbourne alt-pop outfit IV League have signed with the esteemed 123 Agency as they enter the next phase of their career, ushering new single Sylvia into the world ahead of a national tour supporting songstress Ali Barter.

The glistening, sunny new track maintains the band's well-established talent for penning immediately warm-and-welcoming ditties that reward multiple listens through inviting hooks, earnest melodies and an endearing sense of authenticity.

IV League have capitalised on those hallmarks with acclaimed live performances that have spanned from festival stages to packed-out single launches and a ream of high-profile support slots, including for artists such as Harts, British India, Spiderbait and impending tour-mate Barter.

The quartet will launch Sylvia at a special show at Yah Yah's, in Melbourne, on Saturday 22 April before taking up with Barter for her A Suitable Girl tour; that run gets under way in Geelong, at The Workers Club, on Friday 28 April, and takes them all the way through Ballarat, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney and Wollongong, wrapping up at the Rad Bar on Friday 26 May.
