A music icon dead at 90.
Missouri Police have confirmed the death of rock'n'roll legend Chuck Berry.
The St Charles County Police posted the confirmation on their Facebook page that the 90 year-old legend was "pronounced deceased" at 1.26pm, Saturday March 18.
Police had responded to a medical emergency where "inside the home, first responders observed an unresponsive man and immediately administered lifesaving techniques.
"Unfortunately, the 90-year-old man could not be revived."

The statement ended: "The family requests privacy during this time of bereavement."
Considered a pioneer of rock'n'roll, Berry erupted into the mainstream in the 1950s with a string of hits that shaped a musical generation: Maybellene, Roll Over Beethoven, Sweet Little Sixteen, Carol and, of course, Johnny B Goode.
Berry was sentenced to jail in 1962 after he was found guilty of an underage sex charge. Berry twice appealed the charge, he alleged that the jury in the initial court case had been prejudiced by a judge's racist attitude.
Often cited as a major influence on the biggest bands of the '60s, Berry burst back into the charts in 1972 with the sexual innuendo-laden My Ding-A-Ling.
A Rock'N'Roll Hall Of Fame inductee, Berry had last year announced plans to release a new recording in 2017, his first studio album since 1979's Rock It.
