It's her biggest run of solo headline shows in almost four years
Veteran Aussie musician Sarah Blasko has announced an extensive run of headline shows to form a wide-ranging national theatre tour she's dubbed 'The Soloist'.
Not since 2013 has the lauded singer-songwriter undertaken such a broad sojourn; she'll kick off at Castlemaine's Theatre Royal on Thursday 25 May, and roll through Geelong, Meeniyan, Darwin, Sydney, Canberra, Thirroul, Newcastle, Melbourne, Brisbane, Cairns, Adelaide, Perth and Hobart, where she closes the tour with a spot at the Festival Of Voices, held at the Theatre Royal on Wednesday 12 July.
Blasko's most recent album, Eternal Return, was released in late 2015, and the award-winning songstress supported the album in 2016 and kicked off this year with an all-star group of musician friends paying homage to the late, great David Bowie.
With that all behind her, she says that it "feels like the right time to challenge myself, take the leap and finally do some headline shows on my own".

"I’ve slowly been gathering the courage after enjoying a few solo support spots overseas a few years ago," she said in a statement.
"I’m hoping to reimagine material from all of my albums and premiere some new songs as well. I want this to be a really unique and transformative experience for both myself and the audience."
Tickets for Sarah Blasko's 'The Soloist' national tour will go on sale from 10am this Friday, 10 March.
