Adele's Australian debut in Perth last night saw the UK superstar play her first ever stadium show, equipped with a brand new 360-degree stage, a stack of confetti galore and an amazing visual production, but the singer revealed more was planned until an incident during soundcheck.
Her 2011 single Set Fire To The Rain was initially intended to finish with a fireworks display — a spectacle that was cancelled last minute.
"Up until last night, we did have fireworks for you," Adele revealed on stage at Domain Stadium.
"My son [Angelo James Konecki] was watching [soundcheck] in the crowd… a bit of debris went in his eye so we got rid of them."

However, the singer took a crowd poll towards the end of her show, which suggested fireworks might be included during the rest of the tour.
"Let's get a cheer for fireworks if you want them," she asked to a massive roar.
"Let's get a ‘boo’ if you don't want shit in your eyes," she followed up to soft response.
"Alright, we'll do it next time," she said.
