Cop that, '50 Shades'.

Midweek figures suggested that Queensland act Busby Marou were likely to land somewhere in the top five of the ARIA Albums Chart with their third studio album, Postcards From The Shell House, but the duo shattered all expectations by taking out top spot this weekend.

The duo pushed the 50 Shades Darker soundtrack back to #2, while Ryan AdamsPrisoner debuted at #3.

The #1 debut is not only the first for Busby Marou, but it is their first appearance on the chart at all since October 2013 when their last LP, Farewell Fitzroy, peaked at #5.

Other album debuts this week come from The Wiggles with Nursery Rhymes (#15), Sydney buzz band Middle Kids' self-titled offering (#26) and US rapper Future's eponymous fifth LP (#42).
