Aussies love their burgers, that's for damn certain. But did you know we love band-inspired burgers most of all?
As Business Insider reports, Sydney restaurant Bonditony's Burger Joint is the most ordered food in Australia on app/website Deliveroo, and the name of the burger Sydneysiders love so much? The Trippin Zeahorse.
Chatting to The Music about the feat, local legend Tony Gosden, music industry veteran and ex-booker of Cog, joked, "It just means people in the Eastern Suburbs are lazy fucks!"
The $17 burger sits alongside other music-inspired feeds, including the Just A Jezabel burger, the Classic Cog, the Sticky Fingers Free Range Chicken Wings, the Johnny Collide veggie burger (named for Children Collide's frontman, a vegetarian), the Chuggi Chicken Burger for kids — all references to acts and personalities Gosden has worked with over the years.

"[The Trippin Zeahouse has] always been a popular burger, it's been the most popular in-house since we opened. People just love bacon on a burger! The sauces are all homemade as well, the aioli's handmade, the burgers are pressed by hand, the chutney's made by a good friend of mine," explained Gosden. "We have a sign on the wall: 'If only the albums sold like the burger!'"
The restaurant reflects Gosden's years in the music business, with walls covered in tour posters, magazine covers, platinum records and collectibles, a true homage to the rock'n'roll lifestyle and the Aussie music scene. He even jokes he's got a new addition to the bill.
"We might be doing the Kirin J Callinan calamari rings," he laughs. "Kirin's like, 'Tony, when the fuck are you gonna do calamari rings, man?!' So I said, 'okay we'll get to it!'"
