'It would be an honour and a privilege.'
Daryl Braithwaite's The Horses is considered one of the iconic Australian songs and it can be revealed that the singer is in talks to perform the track at Bluesfest this April.
Speaking exclusively to The Music, the legendary artist said there has been suggestions for him to take to the stage at the Byron Bay spectacle with Bluesfest 2017 act and The Horses co-writer, Rickie Lee Jones.
"I don't know what it is with that song," Braithwaite said when asked of The Horses' legacy.
"I've only just spoken, would you believe, two days ago with Rickie Lee Jones, who wrote the song with Walter Becker.

"I'm not sure yet… it would be an honour and a privilege."
Following its release in 1991, Braithwaite's cover peaked at #1 on the ARIA charts and as of last year, was certified x4 platinum.
The news comes only a day after the Sherbet vocalist confirmed to The Music that he is ready to return to the stage after a stint in hospital.
