Hello!

With the Australian premiere of The Book Of Mormon set to go ahead tomorrow night, Trey Parker and Matt Stone have revealed there are plans to bring the acclaimed musical to Sydney soon.

Currently in Melbourne ahead of opening night, the South Park creators said in an interview with ABC that they hope to take the production, which has won nine Tony awards, around the country.

"Yeah, absolutely," Stone said.

"We'd love it to stay here as long as it can and then move to Sydney and stay as long…

"That's the dream."

After its Broadway debut in 2011, The Book Of Mormon has since undertaken runs all around the US, as well as London.

Parker and Stone also touched on South Park during the ABC interview, which just wrapped up its 20th season and primarily dealt with the recent US election.

However, due to the way things have panned out, fans shouldn't expect to see the Emmy Award-winning show focus on Trump too much in future seasons.

"It's tricky now because satire has become reality," Parker said.

"It's really hard to make fun of and in the last season of South Park, which just ended a month-and-a-half ago, we were really trying to make fun of what was going on but we couldn't keep up, What was actually happening was much funnier than anything we could come up with.

"So we decided to kind of back off and let them do their comedy and we'll do ours."

The Book Of Mormon opens tomorrow night at the Princess Theatre.
