The singer-songwriter has been granting the cash to promising up-and-comers for the past three years
The consistently generous Josh Pyke is dipping into his pockets for the fourth year in a row to once again team up with APRA AMCOS to deliver the annual Josh Pyke Partnership grant, worth a cool $7500.
"I'm very excited to be announcing the JP Partnership, in collaboration with APRA AMCOS again for 2017," Pyke said in a statement.
"This will be its fourth year, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what amazing talent we can add to the excellent list of recipients so far! Thanks as always to APRA AMCOS for their support. I'm looking forward to digging in!"
As with last year's grant — which was won by young phenom Alex Lahey — Pyke will once again provide the winning artist with hands-on mentorship as well as a meeting with industry vets Gregg Donovan (Wonderlick Entertainment) and Stephen Wade (Select Music). According to Lahey, who knocked over a stream of 'firsts' for her career in 2016, the program was invaluable in helping her reach a position from which she was able to launch her adventure.

"Winning the Josh Pyke Partnership last year meant so much to me," she said in a statement. "It made getting a foot in the door of the national touring circuit financially viable and allowed me to get advice from some of the Australian industry's leading figures, including Josh himself.
"To have been given support for my career in its early stages from one of Australia's most successful musicians was an extremely encouraging gesture and I am so grateful to have forged a relationship with Josh that will see me seek his advice and expertise well into the future. Thank you, Josh!"
Applications for the fourth annual Josh Pyke Partnership are open now; to be eligible for entry, artists must not be signed to a recording or publishing company, and must include a business plan outlining how they would use the grant were they to be successful.
Entries close at 5pm AEDT on 31 March, with the winner set to be announced on 5 June.
