Fans of indie rockers Car Seat Headrest may be in for a surprise solo show tonight in Sydney from frontman Will Toledo, as the band have announced members Ethan Ives, Andrew Katz and Seth Dalby have been caught up with flight delays.

The tour's promoters have stated they have pushed back set times for the band's Oxford Art Factory show tonight in an effort to give the rest of the band — due to land at 8.50pm — time to arrive for the new set time of 10.30pm.

"Will doesn't want to disappoint his fans, so if the rest of the band can't make it he will perform solo," they wrote on Facebook.

Toledo took to Facebook with a heads up for fans as well. "Want to give you a heads up...the three men I admire most (Andrew, Seth, & Ethan) ended up having to catch a later flight for the coast than expected, and are currently scheduled to arrive in Sydney around 9 pm tonight.

"If anything goes wrong, I'll still be here to do a semi-impromptu solo set. (I spent the weekend in Hawaii, the other guys didn't want to come.) Exciting, isn't it?"

Doors will now open at 8pm, with Jarrow going on at 9.15pm and Car Seat Headrest due to take the stage — in any form — at 10.30pm.

Car Seat Headrest will play Laneway Festival tomorrow in Brisbane.
