Australian artist Renee Geyer has escaped conviction after she verbally attacked a hotel receptionist back in 2015.

According to Fairfax, the ARIA Hall Of Famer was instead handed a 12-month good behaviour bond at Sydney's Downing Centre Local Court yesterday.

The 63-year-old artist reportedly abused the receptionist at Adina Hotel in Haymarket after been told she needed to provide vehicle registration to access the car park.

Police were called to the hotel after the confrontation who escorted Geyer from the foyer.

However the singer reportedly returned to the hotel the next morning and confronted the receptionist again, calling her a "fucking bitch" and a "Tongan bitch".

Geyer also allegedly told the worker, "I know who you are, I'm going to come back and get you" and  "calling the police was a joke, they're not going to charge me".

The receptionist has since transferred to a different hotel due to the stressful confrontation with Geyer.

Fairfax report that magistrate Graeme Curran said there were "background issues" that led to Geyer's "atypical behaviour" and as a result, she was not convicted.
