"I am honestly just happy that I’m even a contender."
Her hit song Adore is one of the leading contenders to take out the #1 spot on this year's Hottest 100, but as far as Amy Shark is concerned, she's just happy to have made the list at all.
Speaking to The Music in an exclusive Facebook live chat yesterday, the Gold Coast singer admitted she was stunned to hear that the track has been tipped to feature in the top three of the annual triple j countdown.
The 100 Warm Tunas website currently predicts that Adore is leading the votes, just a few ahead of Flume's Never Be Like You.
"I am honestly just happy that I’m even a contender," Shark told The Music.

"The pressure’s getting a little bit ridiculous because [winning the Hottest 100 is] just not going to happen," she laughed.
"There’s no chance… I'd love to come in anywhere."
As for who she wants to see win the Hottest 100, Shark is backing Flume, as well as a slew of fellow emerging artists.
"Obviously Flume, Tash Sultana," Shark said.
"Cub Sport to me is, like, they’re crazy. Over the course of six months I’ve met a lot of artists like Tiger Town and Bec Sandridge and Alex Lahey and Allday.
"I love them all and they’re all amazing, amazing artists. For me, they all deserve to be up there."
