Straight after the Mountain Goat Valley Crawl, no less
Members from some of Brisbane's best-loved acts will join forces next month to tip their hat to pop-punk icons Blink-182 with a dedicated tribute show at The Brightside.
Musos hailing from acts including Velociraptor, Babaganouj, Caroline, Sweater Curse, Royal & The Southern Echo, Beneb and Teleprompter (in the words of the gig poster, "lol rip"), along with men-about-town Aimon Clark and Jerry Dire, will combine their efforts to transcend their mortal limitations to live forever as Bris 182.
The band will be playing "all Blink-182's hits, plus that one song from Eurotrip".
(Presumably they mean Scotty Doesn't Know, by Lustra, though we'd be fine with a re-do of Goldfinger's cover of 99 Luftballoons, aka 99 Red Balloons, or even David Hasselhoff's Du.)

The gig itself takes place immediately after the impending second annual Mountain Goat Valley Crawl, the 2017 instalment of which is proudly presented by The Music and is set to feature an awesome array of artists including Alice Ivy, I Know Leopard, Mallrat, The Ocean Party, Polish Club, Moses Gunn Collective and more.
If that's not enough to sate you, though, the Blink-ified kick-ons kick off at The Brightside from midnight on 11 February (going into the 12th), and entry is free.
More information about the 'Bris 182' gig is available at the Facebook event page.
