The wave of criticism comes as another act booked for the ceremony, Bruce Springsteen cover band, B Street Band, announced they have pulled out of the line-up.

As Pollstar reports, band member Willie Forte said the decision was made "soley on the respect and gratitude we have for Bruce and the E Street Band", given that Springsteen has publicly expressed his disdain for Trump.

The President-elect's camp has had a tough time recruiting names for the event, having been knocked back by names such as Elton John, KISS and Celine Dion.

Acts confirmed to perform at the event on Thursday include Toby Keith, Jon Voight, DJ Ravidrums, The Piano Guys and more.

UPDATE:

Another act who called off her performance at Donald Trump's inauguration, Jennifer Holliday, has claimed she did so because she and her family had received death threats.

According to TMZ, the actress and singer was also copping criticism from the LGBT community.

"She wasn’t scared to perform," a rep for Holliday said.

"She didn't want to put her family at risk based on the death threats and she also didn’t want to offend the LGBT community which was especially upset that a past ally would perform on a program with President-Elect Donald Trump."
