Don't believe the hype.

More Matt Okine More Matt Okine

The management for former triple j breakfast host Matt Okine have dismissed reports that the comedian will be taking part in the upcoming series of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

According to Daily Mail, Okine was "all but confirmed" for the show after the Ten network dropped the hint that "a comedian is among the celebrities heading into the jungle" and "this triple threat Aussie comedian is also a television and radio presenter, and is sure to liven up their camp mates".

Though it wouldn't seem like the craziest idea, given that Okine has just left his radio gig, the 31-year-old's management have exclusively told The Music that Okine will not be heading to the jungle and has many other commitments locked in for 2017.

Among those plans includes his new TV series, The Other Guy, to be screened on Stan, as well as a string of stand-up shows for the upcoming comedy festival season and live music gigs with his side project, Boilermakers (performing in Adelaide this Friday).
