Yep. This happened.
The ARIA End Of Year Albums and Singles charts have been announced today and while, predictably, names like Adele, Beyonce and Flume appear at the top of those lists, iconic local bands like Skyhooks and Sherbet are also in there.
Don't freak out — this IS 2017.
The legendary '70s groups actually appear in the Top 100 Albums list for 2016 as part of the soundtrack for the Molly TV miniseries, which came in at #4.
The LP also features tracks from the likes of Cold Chisel, Elton John, Madonna, Supernaut, Blondie, Tina Arena, Kylie Minogue and more.

While Adele's acclaimed 25 topped the list (her second #1 running) and Bey's Lemonade ranked at #3, Keith Urban split the pair, coming in at #2 with his ninth studio album, Ripcord.
David Bowie's final record Blackstar also came in at #8, while other Aussies to feature in the top ten include John Farnham & Olivia Newton-John with Friends For Christmas and Jessica Mauboy's Secret Daughter (Songs From The TV Series).
Overall, 31 local acts made up the top 100, including Hilltop Hoods' Drinking From The Sun, Walking Under The Stars (Restrung) (#13), Flume's Skin (#16), Rufus' Bloom (#24), Delta Goodrem's Wings Of The World (#26), Matt Corby's Telluric (#36), The Avalanches' Wildflower (#39), The Amity Affliction's This Could Be Heartbreak (#44), Violent Soho's WACO (#47) and Troye Sivan's Blue Neighbourhood (#60).
Triple J's Like A Version volumes 11 and 12 also made the list, charting at #95 and #27 respectively.
On the Singles chart, top honours go to The Chainsmokers' Closer featuring Halsey, who had the year's longest running #1 track (nine weeks).
Flume was the highest ranking local name at #4 with Never Be Like You featuring Kai, while he enjoyed top 20 success with another hit, Say It featuring Tove Lo, coming in at #20.
Adelaide-born artist Sia also featured in the top ten, with her single Cheap Thrills coming in at #8, while Hilltop Hoods' 1955, featuring Montaigne and Tom Thumb, came in at #18.
Other Aussies to feature in the Singles chart includes Illy's Papercuts featuring Vera Blue (#24), The Veronicas' In My Blood (#57) and Betty Who's I Love You Always Forever (#67).
"2016 was an exciting year on the ARIA Charts, and proved to be an outstanding year for our local artists with 22 Australian singles and albums soaring to the top of the charts - seven up from 2015," ARIA Chief Executive Officer Dan Rosen said.
"It is extremely pleasing to see 31 Aussie albums in the top 100 this year. This is a great achievement for our local industry and shows how Australian music fans have embraced our local artists."
