The Melbourne lads are positioning themselves to hit 2017 with force
Emergent Melbourne heavyweights Ocean Grove are all set to hit the ground running in 2017, with the news they have locked down not one but two major deals following the unveiling of their new single, These Boys Light Fires.
Not to be confused with the US group of the same name whose members used to back up The Jonas Brothers, the local Ocean Grove have newly inked agreements with not only seminal heavy-music company UNIFIED, which will now attend to worldwide management duties for the group, but well-regarded local agency Village Sounds (under the purview of renowned agent Evan Davies), as well as the US-based United Talent Agency, who will represent their interests in North America under the guidance of Dave Shapiro (A Day To Remember, Limp Bizkit) and Chad Lehner (PVRIS).
Hey, if you're going to do something, you may as well do it right.
Now, with the band already sporting label representation from UNIFIED's UNFD arm (their first release for them was Lights On Kind Of Lover), Ocean Grove have found themselves poised to strike in the new year, and make 2017 comprehensively theirs to do with what they will. We're super-excited to see where it all leads.

Check out These Boys Light Fires online; according to frontman Luke Holmes, it's a big ol' celebration of life that draws inspiration and influence from the distance travelled since the band's last release.
"Written from the viewpoint of someone walking through a garden or labyrinth, These Boys Light Fires also draws parallels with our own journey in referencing our growth as people since the last record," Holmes said.
"It happens very rarely but this song came to me almost instantaneously brought on by the upbeat and optimistic touch to the instrumental of which I couldn't help but elicit a positive response. I view this song as a celebration of life and an anthem for people embracing it."
Ocean Grove will be on the road in January with their elder peers in The Amity Affliction and Hellions, kicking off the year with a spot at UNIFY 2017.
