'Exclude us from any further nominations from your circle jerk.'
The Amity Affliction frontman has come out swinging against ARIA and slammed the "fats cats" of the Australian music industry following their loss at last night's ARIA Awards.
The Brisbane outfit were up for the Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album gong with their fifth LP, This Could Be Heartbreak, but lost to Melbourne's King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard.
"Hey @ARIA_Official you can just go ahead and exclude us from any further nominations from your circle jerk awards plz and thank u," Ahren Stringer tweeted today.

"Ps not salty about not winning, just sad to see the fat cats of the Australian music industry so unappreciative of our 15 years of screamo."

Not to throw shade at any bands who won awards but @HellionsAus made one of the best records of all time. pic.twitter.com/4oMbrhOqpf

He later followed it up with a cheeky tweet, suggesting Sydney band Hellions should have taken out the category.
The singer's tweets follow a number of fans questioning ARIA giving the award to King Gizzard over the more-traditional hard rock and heavy metal acts nominated, including Hellions, Parkway Drive and Twelve Foot Ninja.
Previous winners of the award include Northlane, DZ Deathrays, Karnivool and Front End Loader.
