You're in for a treat, Gippsland!

Announcing their 2017 festival dates back in September, The Hills Are Alive have let slip another bit of exciting news for next year today, including the fact that Sydney indie rockers Cloud Control will be heading to Gippsland as a headliner.

The band have been laying low for a little while while recording their newest record — currently in the mixing process — so their set at the three-day festival will be a premier place to catch some new tunes from the band.

Joining Cloud Control on the bill is Angus Stone's newest musical incarnation, Dope Lemon. He'll have their debut album Honey Bones in tow, having sold out multiple shows around the country recently.

The Hills Are Alive will also be implementing a comedy stage next year for its ninth festival. All will be revealed on 30 November when the festival announce their first line-up.
