#watchingrage
As part of a renewed focus in digital programming next year, beloved ABC music show Rage will be airing two specially produced one-hour documentaries to celebrate 30 years of the show next April 17.
To celebrate, Rage will honour the distinctly Aussie experience of flicking on the TV on a Saturday morning to watch the week's latest music videos, with a social media campaign exploring Australians' experience of #watchingrage — a lucky winner will get to program Rage over its birthday weekend too.
The first documentary will traipse the history of Rage and its influence on Australian music culture, boasting commentary from musicians who have graced Rage and watched Rage over the years. The second documentary will be titled Songs From The Red Couch: 30 Years Of Guest Rage Programmers and will dive into the show's three decades to reminisce about some of the best guest programmers the show has seen, including the handful of music videos that have been chosen multiple times.
Other new shows will include triple j's Matt Okine taking on a new cooking show called Shortcuts To Glory on ABC iview, targeting young millennials navigating the kitchen after flying the coop.

Okine says, "I spent most of my twenties with no money and a lot of time ... I would stand in the magazine section of my local supermarket, sneakily looking at food recipes, trying to figure out simple meals to make at home. Where was this show back then?!”
You can also catch another season of dystopic show Cleverman and comedian Ronny Chieng's autobiographical comedy, Ronny Chieng: International Student.
