He's that good.
He's one of Australia's most celebrated music figures and now you can add another botch to the belt of Michael Gudinski - Melbourne Cup winner.
According to SMH, the Mushroom Group founder and chairman is the co-owner of today's winning horse, Almandin, alongside Sean Bartholomew, Rip Curl founder, Brian Singer, Quiksilver founder, Alan Green, Vin Sammartino, Phil Mehrtens and John Ingham of Ingham Chicken.
Talk about a winning combination.
Gudinski was quoted yesterday saying, "You need help with music come to me, if I want success in racing I wanted to be in the Lloyd Williams camp".

By the time today's race was all done and dusted, Almandin paid a cool $12.30 on the NSW Tab and now Gudinski, along with his fellow co-owners, will enjoy a handy share of the $6.2 million winnings.
