"Do you want us to go?"
UK singer Morrissey reportedly threatened to call off his Wollongong show early on Saturday night, after a physical altercation broke out at the front of the crowd.
As Fairfax reports, The Smiths frontman stopped the show around 45 minutes into the set at WIN Entertainment Centre to address the punch-up.
Morrissey reportedly gave his microphone to a female concert-goer who was involved in the scuffle to let her explain the situation.
The female claimed that she reacted to a fellow punter that had spent the entire gig making jokes about horse racing.

"I punched him in the head," the female said to some cheers from the crowd, however Morrissey didn't seem so impressed.
"Do you want us to go?" he responded, seemingly confused from the positive reaction to the fight.
Music Feeds have corroborated Fairfax's report in their own review, revealing that the fight broke out in the first verse of The Bullfighter Dies.
"Rather than letting security deal with it, Morrissey gave his microphone to the girl involved," the review reads.
"To mixed jeers, she explained that some twat next to her had used the song to bring up (and apparently, laugh about) the cruelty of the horse racing industry."
The review continues, "'Can we continue?' asked Morrissey, a little deflated.
"But rather than using the opportunity to speak out against the horse racing or bull fighting industry, Morrissey obviously decided that the best way to keep the peace was to go on with the show and skip the track."
Meanwhile, Fairfax have also reported another woman passed out in the middle of Meat Is Murder, as graphic visuals of animals being slaughtered were shown on a back screen during the performance.
Morrissey's Aussie tour promoter, Mushroom Group, declined to comment when contacted by The Music.
