"We're very excited about this one, it'll be a full and colourful stage."
Ska rockers The Cat Empire and roots hero Xavier Rudd have combined forces for a summer tour next January, where they'll take their tunes to a series of outdoor venues.
Both acts have separately been conquering stages all over the world — as well as at home — so the tour will see them bring the good times to the road together, with Harts, Ocean Alley and Sahara Beck added in for good measure.
The Cat Empire's Felix Riebl says, "We've been crossing paths with Xavier Rudd at festivals in Australia and internationally for many years, and we've always had a great time together. Add Sahara Beck and Harts to the mix, it should be an amazing summer. We're very excited about this one, it'll be a full and colourful stage."
Rudd shared in their excitement by stating The Cat Empire are "deadly musicians and lovely people".

"Over the last 15 or so years touring around the world and seeing their posters in so many different towns and countries has always brought me a smile. I guess it's about time that we teamed up to do some shows together & I'm stoked to share a stage with these legends back on home soil early in 2017!"
Bring your picnic blankets, cushions and readiness for a good time along, as the acts kick off the run in Hobart on Australia Day. They'll move on to Ballarat, Byron Bay, Bribie Island and Adelaide until 11 February.
