Emergent central Queensland-bred singer-songwriter Tia Gostelow is ending 2016 on a strong note, freshly nabbing co-management from the esteemed industry folks at Footstomp Music and Kadence Group.

Eagle-eyed delegates at this month's BIGSOUND event would have seen or heard of Gostelow and her remarkable voice during the conference, being one of the festival's performing acts; her outing at The Triffid's acoustic barbecue, along with her official showcase, was an enthusiastically received proposition.

Foostomp director Graham Ashton is clearly aware of her bountiful potential, too, saying of the signing in a statement, "It's incredibly refreshing to see an artist so young that has already separated herself from the bullshit of celebrity and committed herself to the life of a true artist."

His sentiments were echoed by Kadence Group director Kristy Gostelow, who effusively commented: "With the support of this creative team behind her, along with her unwavering and authentic attitude, there are incredible things to come for this young artist."

The up-and-comer has already accrued significant acclaim early in her career, having won triple j Unearthed High's Indigenous initiative with her assured debut single State Of Art, and being named as a finalist in this year's wider competition. The track has consequently seen sweet airtime on the youth broadcaster and positioned Gostelow to hit the ground running with strength and certainty in 2017.

Gostelow now turns her attention to the challenge of finishing high school (prodigies, are we right?) and wrapping up work on new single Vague Utopia, which will land in the very near future as the songstress makes plans for her first headline tour early next year.
