"Bring Your Flashlights": A$AP Ferg Pushing Ahead With SA Gig Despite Massive Storms

"Tonight will be the blackout party!"

More A$AP Ferg More A$AP Ferg

If you're anywhere but Adelaide tonight, spare a thought for our brethren in the southern capital, who are currently experiencing the lashing of their lives as wild weather pounds into South Australia, leaving much of the city in a blackout.

One person determined not to let the conditions wreck his night is visiting performer A$AP Ferg, in the country for the current run of Listen Out festival events and presently in the city for a headline performance at The Gov tonight.

Despite the loss of power and chaotic conditions, Ferg has said in conversation on Twitter that, regardless of the weather, the show was "never cancelled", and "must continue, blackout or not". He took the suggestion of an unplugged set under advisement ("That be fire," he tweeted) and told his fans to "bring candles and flashlights … tonight will be the blackout party!"

However, local emergency services personnel are likely none too pleased with that plan, with SA Police advising people to stay indoors unless leaving is absolutely necessary, while Adelaide train station has been closed and Adelaide Oval has cancelled its planned events for the evening.
