Chet Faker To Drop Moniker, Will Go By Nick Murphy For New Album

Having lay low for the better part of the year, singer/producer Chet Faker has emerged with news that he'll be dropping his stage moniker and going by his birth name Nick Murphy for his upcoming record.

Taking to his Facebook earlier today, Murphy explained, "It's been half a decade since I started releasing music as Chet Faker and all of you have been the driving force behind the music since. 

"Theres an evolution happening and I wanted to let you know where it's going."

There's no word on when Murphy's sophomore record, and follow up to his successful debut Built On Glass, will be unleashed to the world, though recently Murphy has been spending time working with English DJ Marcus Marr.
