"We need to take some time to look after each other."

FOREVR have had to cancel their planned appearance at Brisbane's BIGSOUND festival event tonight for personal reasons.

In a post on social media this afternoon, the local experimental-pop outfit alluded to "a tragedy close to the band" and apologised for their sudden withdrawal, as if they have anything to apologise for at all. They had been scheduled to perform at the showcase at the Woolly Mammoth Alehouse stage alongside Fazerdaze, Sparkspitter, Polish Club and Columbus, though the band did have a solid batch of other recommendations up their sleeve to boot.

"We're so sorry to have to let you guys know that we can't play our BIGSOUND gig tonight," they wrote. "There's been a tragedy close to the band and we need to take some time to look after each other. make sure go see our awesome mates Andrew Tuttle, SUIIX, The Laurels and Mallrat and please take care of yourselves and the people you love."

If you're keen on following their advice, see Tuttle from 8.10-8.40pm at the Press Club, SUIIX from 8.20-8.50pm at the Heya Bar, Mallrat from 8.50-9.20pm at The Elephant Hotel and The Laurels from 11.20-11.50pm at The New Globe Theatre.
