Wrap your ears around fresh jam 'I Thought We Knew Each Other'

More British India More British India

Stalwart indie-rock outfit British India will be on the road for much of the rest of the year, with the band today announcing an epic national run of shows in the wake of unleashing new single I Thought We Knew Each Other all over our eager ears.

The beloved Melburnian quartet premiered the track on triple j this afternoon to herald the announcement of the tour, which will see the four-piece kick off on Friday 21 October at Newcastle's Cambridge Hotel, heading to stages in metropolitan and regional centres all around the country, on the Central Coast, in Gympie, Coffs Harbour, Mornington, Margaret River, Wanneroo (all ages), Ballarat, Melbourne, Geelong, Canberra, Wagga Wagga, Brisbane, Sydney, Mackay, Airlie Beach, Townsville, Hobart, Launceton, Adelaide, Perth and Fremantle.

It's not been that long since the band were out on the road — they conducted a winter tour just because they could back in June and July — but it seems that was just the warm-up leg, with the impending jaunt doubling the number of shows encompassed in its predecessor run to hit more than 20 locations around the country over the next couple of months. Given how enamoured we were with them last time around, we're safely expecting this to be a similarly high-calibre affair.

Tickets for all shows go on sale from 9am this Thursday, 8 September, via Oztix.
