Well, that was fast
South-east Queensland's music community is angling for some kind of super-sleuth record after locating a mystery individual who made off with a performer's equipment during a show at Brisbane's Black Bear Lodge at the weekend within an hour of the call to arms being made.
Gold Coast-based musician Connor Grant — also known as Whisperer, and a live performer with Golden Vessel — posted to the Facebook event page for Friday night's Well Worn EP launch for Melbourne duo Kllo explaining that a silver hardcase containing $2000 worth of gear had been stolen from the venue's green room.
However, with social media being what it is these days, before you could even say "breaking news", Grant was back, reporting that the perpetrator had already been located, and the gear is on the way back to its rightful owner. Man, talk about your community spirit.
"We have managed to track down the girl in this image and she will be returning the case," he followed up. "Once I've gotten the gear back I will remove all the posts."

For his part, Grant seems more concerned about the welfare of the suspect than his own, now that he's assured the gear's safe return, even going so far as to request that people rethink anything they might have said in the heat of the moment.
"Thankyou so much to everyone that shared this image around — an hour ago I was certain I would never see my gear again so it's crazy that I'll be getting it back," he wrote.
"Also if you've said anything ridiculously harsh it might be nice to remove that off the net — honestly, I'm sure having her face shared around publicly has been enough shame."
