It's not all bad news.
Though newly-released Hollywood blockbuster Suicide Squad has been thrown from pillar to post by critics, the film has blown up the box office and it appears the music featured in it is also making a huge impact on audiences as the official soundtrack has taken out the #1 spot on the ARIA Albums Chart this week.
The soundtrack, which includes tracks from Eminem, Twenty One Pilots, Panic! At The Disco and Australia's own Grace, to name a few, has beaten Aussie heavyweight Bernard Fanning to top spot, whose third solo album Civil Dusk has debuted at #2.
The placing comes on the back of the Powderfinger's last two offerings, 2005's Tea & Sympathy and 2013's Departures, which both peaked at #1.
The Suicide Squad and Fanning albums push previous chart topper Human Nature down to #3, while Sydney songwriter Montaigne's debut LP Glorious Heights has impressively blasted on the chart to land at #4.
