Feminist Music Conference LISTEN Returns In 2016

Kicking off its second year in October.

Feminist music conference LISTEN has announced it will return for its second year in 2016, with some big names already confirmed for the October event. 

Named as keynote speakers for the conference is writer and activist Clementine Ford, as well as Alok Vaid-Menon of trans South Asian performance art duo DarkMatter.

Taking place at Melbourne's Bella Union from 14-16 October, the Listen conference is set to feature panel discussions, workshops and live performances. 

The event offers a unique opportunity to engage in discussion on gender, feminism, creativity, writing, performance and much more.

This year's panels will cover a number of issues including the pros and cons of 'call out culture' and race and sexism in music.
