Melbourne's night of nights

In its 11th year in 2016, The Age Music Victoria Awards will once again descend upon 170 Russell this November to celebrate the best and brightest parts of Victoria's musical prowess.

With the awards smashed out earlier on in the night, the afterparty this year sounds like the place to be with the RocKwiz band taking the stage as EG AllStars with Paul Dempsey, Alex Lahey, Pierce Brothers, Kylie Auldist, Gareth Liddiard, Remi, Gawurra and Freya Josephine Hollick as well as sets from Melbourne Ska Orchestra, Camp Cope and Tash Sultana.

Music Victoria and The Age will also be inducting Triple R into The Age Music Victoria Hall Of Fame as they celebrate their 40th birthday as one of Melbourne's most iconic community broadcasters.

Triple R's station manager Dave Houchin said, "We're thrilled to hear that Triple R is being inducted into the Hall Of Fame in line with our 40th birthday in November this year, and following on from the Skull Cave's Stephen 'The Ghost' Walker's induction a few years ago."
