We Set Sail Precede Second LP With A New Song For Sad Bastards & It's A Total Jam

'Reminders Written On Maps' is the third taste from the forthcoming record

Brisbane's self-proclaimed laziest band, We Set Sail, are pulling themselves off their butts to usher their second album, Feel Nothing, into the world next month and, to help sell that image of productivity, they've gone and released a video for new track Reminders Written On Maps.

The song is the third single from the record — following Snails and This Could Be The Tragedy We've Been Waiting For — and it's a supreme sad-bastard jam. It is A-grade heart-on-sleeve, soft-loud-soft-loud-aggressive-but-uplifting introspection, falling somewhere smack in the middle of indie, emo, punk and rock — among other overlapping yet distinct umbrella terms — and proving a resolutely infectious listen in the process.

Feel Nothing will be released on 16 September, and is currently available for pre-order on Bandcamp.

The band has a couple of shows in the pipeline in the lead-up to the album; catch them at Crowbar with the paper & the plane, Army Of Champions, Foxtrot and more on Tuesday 9 August, or alongside Weightless In Orbit and a whole mess of other bands at the same venue on Friday 19 August.
