If you’re going through Splendour withdrawals or still in deep regret for missing the mammoth event, the latest Southbound artists announcement may help.

Locking down Aussie electro legends Hermitude as the first act last week, the WA festival has now confirmed a massive, eclectic bunch of local bands to get the ball rolling, with local favourites San Cisco, Slumberjack, Tired lion and more signing on for the three-day December camping event.

Here are the local legends you can catch at Southbound 2016:

San Cisco, Slumberjack, Tired Lion, Koi Child, HWLS, Mosquito Coast, Kucka, Lilt, Mathas, Hideous Sun Demon, Grrl Pal, Elk Road, Time Pilot

The December 27 – 29 festival sees a change of pace for the Sir Stewart Bovell Park party after promoters were forced to cancel the last instalment in January due to bushfires.

The devastating fires that swept across WA’s South West during that period saw Southbound step up to raise more than $150,000 for the local community through the January Southbound Benefit Concert with more fundraising initiatives to be rolled out as this year’s event approaches.

Ticketholders to the January festivities were given early access to the upcoming passes, with first release tickets now on sale via the Southbound website.
