Accused of smuggling $275 million of ice into the country.

It has been alleged that two Melbourne nightclub promoters are directly involved in an international drug smuggling syndicate after they were accused of trafficking a large amount of ice into the country.

As The Age reports, Promoters An Ken Vi and Raymond Lach were two of five men who faced court last week after a federal crime task force discovered 275 kilograms of methamphetamine under shipping containers floorboard imported from China.

It is believed that the drugs, found in packets disguised as udon noodles, have a street value of $275 million.

It is reported that Vi and Lach, who were employed by popular trance promoter Majik Entertainment at the time of the arrest, have been selling hundreds of tickets to the Kearnage dance party to be held at Melbourne's Festival Hall this weekend.

The latest incident comes on the back of a number of drug busts in Melbourne over the last few months.

In April, police raided two separate nightclubs where a large amount of drugs and cash were discovered.

DJ Jason Kolbeck and venue managers, Chris Lytras and Paul Polito, were arrested on a string of drug charges, while Kolbeck is facing up to two years in prison as he waits for a trial due to the "super serious" charges

In May, popular producer Kasey Taylor and nightclub figure Robert Oung were detained by Australia Border Force for allegedly swallowing a kilogram of ketamine and attempting to smuggle it into the country.
