"I don't know what I enjoy more, smashing CDs or full forwards," says Eric Mackenzie

There's just something about smashing things to pieces, isn't there? So when Perth indie rockers Stillwater Giants received a stack of 800 CDs of their debut album Munich, all defective, they decided to see the humour in the situation and axe them all to shards. Fuck yeah.

Enlisting West Coast Eagles star Eric Mackenzie for the task, the band head to Mackenzie's house, set up a tarp, give his chocolate lab a pat and get to work.

Mackenzie says, "I've hated this band for ages. It felt so good to finally give them what they deserve and destroy their albums, just like I destroy Hawthorn every time we play them. I don't know what I enjoy more, smashing CDs or full forwards."

Stillwater Giants are dropping Munich today and launching the album at Amplifier tomorrow in Perth.
