Authorities Target Two Doctors In Prince Criminal Death Investigation
Investigation picks up.
Just weeks after a criminal investigation into the death of Prince was launched after it was revealed the music icon died from an overdose of a synthetic opioid called fentanyl, it is now being reported that authorities are specifically targeting two doctors.
As TMZ reports, the FBI, DEA and Carver County District Attorney's Office are investigating whether the late singer's primary physician Dr Michael Schulenberg and addiction specialist Dr. Howard Kornfeld broke any laws when prescribing the painkiller medication.

Schulenburg was reportedly at Prince's Paisley Park estate when he was found unconscious, however he claims he was only there to inform the musician of some test results.
Dr Kornfield's son, Andrew Kornfield, was also at the Minnesota home at the time of Prince's death, where he was carrying a backpack that contained synthetic opiates.
It has been reported that if state charges are filed, the case will not go to the grand jury, however this is yet to be determined.
