And the line-up already looks good.

Melbourne is already leading the way for live music in the country and the booming scene is now set to expand to its suburbs with the announcement of a new venue in Wheelers Hill.

The Wheelers Hill Hotel is a venue with a long history of live entertainment and this August, The Satellite Lounge will open in the complex with a direct focus on live music.

Industry stalwarts Mark Burchett and Neil Wedd will program all the entertainment for the new venue, having many years of experience in running live music establishments and the acts booked for the opening month suggest The Satellite Lounge could be one to watch.

Confirmed to perform throughout August include Ross Wilson & The Peaceniks, The Black SorrowsWendy Stapleton and Bob "Bongo" Starkie of legendary Aussie outfit, Skyhooks.
