Grammy-winning a cappella ensemble Pentatonix have announced their first tour dates for Australia and New Zealand since their sell-out inaugural run in 2014, lining up a handful of dates around the region this September.

Kicking off at Sydney's Enmore Theatre on Saturday 3 September, the group will take their world tour to Brisbane's City Hall (Sunday 4 September), Adelaide's AEC Theatre (Wednesday 7 September) and Melbourne's Palais Theatre (Thursday 8 September) before hopping across to New Zealand to perform at the Auckland Town Hall on Saturday 10 September.

The band will return to Aussie shores with their new self-titled album — their fourth overall, and first to be comprised entirely of original songs — in tow, having built their renown since their last visit not only in the strictly musical arena, but cutting their teeth in the film world to boot with a cameo appearance in last year's Pitch Perfect 2. Some of the members returned to the screen — albeit the small one — with appearances in a newly released episode of long-running crime drama Bones, which aired at the end of last month in the United States.

The new album maintained Pentatonix's run of routine success every time they put out a new release, with the Pentatonix LP rocketing to certified Gold status as well as nabbing the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart and a top-five entry spot on the ARIA charts.
