Bob Evans Drops New Songs From Upcoming Album

Bob Evans has unveiled two new singles today from his upcoming album, Car Boot Sale, to be released on 17 June.

The two songs come as a double A-side and are titled Matterfact and Happy Tears, with the troubadour — the alter-ego of Jebediah's Kevin Mitchell — revealing that the songs on this album are of the "travelling salesman style". 

“The records I make are always a response to the one before," Mitchell explains. "After Familiar Stranger, this album was really just me coming back to the acoustic guitar and finding a new love for it..."

Mitchell will also be showcasing the intersection of his music and humour in a podcast called Good Evans, It’s A Bobcast! These will be released fortnightly every Tuesday and will feature guests like comedian Tom Ballard and producer Tony Buchen.
