Heading our way this October!

More Slipknot More Slipknot

Australian fans have been teased with street posters and cheeky online posts but now it's finally official: US heavyweights Slipknot are heading our way this October for a massive east coast headline tour.

The nine-piece outfit will kick off the arena tour Down Under at Brisbane's Entertainment Centre on 28 October, followed by shows at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney the next night and Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena on Halloween, 31 October.

Tickets for all shows go on sale from 11am on Monday 23 May.

Last on our shores in 2015 as the headlining act for what is now known as the final Soundwave event, Slipknot have spent the last year touring the US in support of their 2014-released album, .5: The Gray Chapter.

The news also comes on the back of the band's joint-announcement earlier today in LA with fellow rocker Ozzy Osbourne, which will see their music event Knotfest join forces with the Black Sabbath frontman's Ozzfest for a massive two-day festival this September.

While each night will be headlined by Slipknot and Black Sabbath respectively, other acts on the bill include Disturbed, Megadeth, Slayer, Trivium, Anthrax and many more.
