More Sum 41 More Sum 41

Iconic Canadian punk rockers Sum 41 have announced a signing to renowned punk label Hopeless Records, in order to release their first album since Screaming Bloody Murder five years ago.

Though the band have been laying low on the album front since 2011, Sum 41 have been performing 300 times per year on average.

The as-yet-untitled album is produced, written, engineered and produced wholly by lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Deryck Whibley. He says, "It’s crazy to think that we started this band 20 years ago and so much has happened, and it all happened really fast. When I look back at everything it still feels like it’s all so recent.

"I think this a good thing because it still feels like there is still so much to do...which is why I am excited for a new album and to be releasing it with Hopeless Records."
