It's Friday, I'm in love

More The Cure More The Cure

We can almost hear a huge collective sigh of relief emitting from everyone who missed out on Splendour In The Grass tickets this year. This year's headline act, The Cure, have announced they'll indeed be heading to shows away from Byron Bay this year, outlining plans this morning to perform nationally this July.

At the moment, Robert Smith and co. have only detailed shows in Sydney and Melbourne — earmark Monday, 25 July at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena and Thursday, 28 July at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena — but they've assured Adelaide and Perth details are not far off.

This will be the goth-rock behemoth's first Aussie tour in five years, and you can bet they have a two-hour long extravaganza planned, drawing material from across their 13 album catalogue.

Tickets go on sale next Friday, 6 May from 10am — head to theGuide for further details.
